MULTAN: Livestock department conducted anti-congo spray around 142,897 animals (cattle heads) during last two weeks in the district.
Dr Majid, an official of Livestock department while talking to APP informed that officials of Livestock department worked round the clock to tackle the threat of Congo virus spread by ticks swarming around cattle. The teams launched special campaign from August 27 onwards and ensured spray around 142,897 animals.
The crew was also deputed at different cattle markets. He appreciated the efforts of staffers and urged cattle farmers to contact the department for solution of issues related to livestock.
