ISLAMABAD: Minister for Planning, Development Ahsan Iqbal on Friday said that politics on China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was unreasonable.
In a statement issued here, the minister said that in the CPEC Conference held on August 29, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khatak had expressed his satisfaction over the project but suddenly what had happened to him.
“The people who are making a fuss over the issue should clarify that what had changed within a period of only two weeks,” he questioned. He said that after the clarification made by the Ambassador of China to Pakistan, the matter should be closed.
He said that the national projects should be kept above politics and hurdles in the way of CPEC would not be tolerated at any cost. He cautioned that no one would be allowed to play with the future of Pakistan.
